International Journal for Research in Education

In 1984, Magallat Kulliyyat Al Tarbia: the Journal of the College of Education was established at the United Arab Emirates University. It is a bilingual (Arabic and English), scholarly, refereed journal that has developed to serve educational researchers, practitioners, policy-makers and administrators in the United Arab Emirates and the Arab world.

To reflect the university’s development into a world-class research institution and to better serve the broader international educational research community, the editorial board has concluded that the journal’s name be changed into the International Journal for Research in Education. The journal thus will broaden its geographic scope to allow for the dissemination, discussion and debate of contemporary quality educational research from the Arab region and beyond. It will bi-annually publish papers on the theory and practices of education in a variety of disciplines.
