Abstract

The aim of this study was to examine the impact of the reciprocal and the collaborative teaching strategies on improving the literary appreciation skills of the seventh-grade students in Jordan. To this end, lesson plans were prepared, and a test for literary appreciation designed.

The experimental group was taught using the reciprocal and the collaborative strategies, while the control group was taught using the traditional method. After completion of the teaching that lasted for two full months, the literary appreciation test was conducted on the experimental and control groups.

The results of the binary multivariate difference analysis showed that there were statistically significant differences at (α = 0.05) due to the effect of the two strategies on all literary appreciation skills in favor of the experimental group. It also showed statistically significant differences at the level (α = 0.05) attributed to the impact of gender in all literary appreciation skills in favor of females. The results, however, did not show statistically significant differences among the seventh-grade students in literary appreciation skills due to interaction between method and gender.

Arabic Abstract الملخص باللغة العربية

هدفت هذه الدراسة إلى الكشف عن أثر استراتيجيتي التدريس التبادلي والتعاوني في تحسين مهارات التذوق الأدبي لدى طلبة الصف السابع الأساسي في الأردن. ولتحقيق هدف الدراسة، تم إعداد الخطط التعليميّة، كما تم بناء اختبار في التذوق الأدبي.

دُرّست المجموعة التجريبية وفق الاستراتيجيتين في حين دُرّست المجموعة الضابطة بالطريقة الاعتيادية. وبعد الانتهاء من التدريس الذي استمر مدة شهرين كاملين، طُبّق اختبار التذوق الأدبي، على مجموعتيّ الدراسة التجريبية والضابطة.

وأظهرت نتائج تحليل التباين الثنائي المتعدد، وجود فروق ذات دلالة إحصائية عند مستوى (α = 0.05) تُعزى لأثر الاستراتيجيتين في جميع مهارات التذوق الأدبي لمصلحة المجموعة التجريبية. ووجود فروق ذات دلالة إحصائية عند مستوى (α = 0.05) تُعزى لأثر الجنس في جميع مهارات التذوق الأدبي لمصلحة الإناث. في حين لم تظهر النتائج فروقاً دالة إحصائياً لدى طلبة الصف السابع الأساسيّ في مهارات التذوق الأدبيّ تُعزى إلى التفاعل بين الطريقة والجنس.
