Abstract

Abstract:

The research purpose is to acknowledge the role of female teachers in forming wrong perception about conceptions of heredity in minds of female students of intermediate schools, in Riyadh. The Research sample formed of (69) female teachers within the Riyadh North Education Office in 1436-1437H "2015/2016". A questionnaire form was prepared to determine the wrong perceptions about conception of heredity in minds of science female teachers. It included (10) multiple choice questions, each with (4) choices, followed by (4) different explanations to chose from, after being reviewed by a group of arbitrators. The stability account was equal to (0.73) using Cronbach's Alpha equation. The researchers also prepared an interview tool for a random sample of female teachers (8 science teachers), to recognize relation of teaching practices, teaching language of conceptions, with forming wrong perceptions in the minds of female students. It was composed of (8) questions that were reviewed and confirmed. The results pointed to the existence of a lot of wrong perceptions about conception of heredity (chromosome, gene, RNA, DNA, recessive and dominant character, genetic polymorphism, formalist models) at science teachers. Results also indicated a relation between educational practices and teaching language of conceptions, and formation of wrong perceptions in minds of female students. Results also pointed to nonexistence of relation between science specialization and formation of wrong perceptions about conception of heredity Chi-Square Tests value is (2.493) which is a non-statistical function value, where the [sig] associated value is (0.477), is larger than the level indication (0.05), which means that there are no substantial differences in the occurrences of right and wrong answers to the study sample depending on major specialization. The research concluded with a number of recommendations in the light of its results.

هدف البحث إلى تعرّف دور معلمات العلوم في تكوين التصوّرات الخاطئة حول مفاهيم الوراثة لدى طالبات المرحلة المتوسطة في مدينة الرياض. وتكوّنت عينة البحث من (69) معلمة في المدارس التابعة لمكتب الإشراف التربوي بشمال الرياض، للعام الدراسي 1436/1437هـ "2015/2016م". ولتحقيق أهداف البحث تم تطبيق استبانة لتحديد التصوّرات الخاطئة للمفاهيم الوراثية لدى معلمات العلوم, في ضوء متغير التخصص, وتكوّنت الاستبانة من (10) أسئلة في صورتها النهائية، كل سؤال بأربعة اختيارات للإجابة لاختيار واحدٍ منها، يليها أربعة اختيارات لتفسيرها، وبعد التأكد من صدقها، بعرضها على مجموعة من المحكّمين, وحساب ثباتها الذي بلغ (0.73)، باستخدام معادلة ألفا كرونباخ. كما أعدّ الباحثان أداة مقابلة لعينة عشوائية من المعلمات (8 معلمات علوم)؛ للتعرّف على علاقة الممارسات التدريسية ولغة تعليم المفاهيم بتكوّن التصوّرات الخاطئة لدى الطالبات, وتكوّنت من (8) أسئلة شبه مقننة تم التأكد من صدقها وثباتها. ودلّت نتائج البحث على وجود تصورات خاطئة لدى معلمات العلوم بنسب عالية للمفاهيم الوراثية: (الكروموسوم, والجين, وDNA, وRNA، والتنحي والسيادة, والطرز الجينية, والطرز الشكلية), بالإضافة إلى وجود علاقة بين الممارسات التدريسية ولغة تعليم المفاهيم وتكوّن التصوّرات الخاطئة لدى الطالبات, كما بيّنت النتائج عدم وجود علاقة بين التخصص العلمي لمعلمات العلوم وامتلاك التصوّرات الخاطئة لمفاهيم الوراثة، إذ إن قيمة اختبار مربع كاي بلغت القيمة (2.493) وهي قيمة غير دالة إحصائياً حيث إن قيمة [sig] المرتبطة بها بلغت القيمة (0.477) وهي أكبر من مستوى الدلالة (0.05) مما يعني أنه لا توجد فروق جوهرية في تكرارات الإجابات الصحيحة والخاطئة لدى عينة الدراسة باختلاف التخصص. وخلص البحث إلى عدد من التوصيات في ضوء ما أسفر عنه من نتائج.
