Abstract

This study examined level of democratic practices among Health Faculty from students’ perspective in Northern Border University. In addition, the study aimed at uncovering the significant statistical differences in level of democratic educational among Health Faculty from students’ perspective in Northern Border University based on the gender variable, the faculty and grade. The study used the descriptive analytical methodology. A questionnaire has been conducted on (226) students (males and females), and its validity and reliability have been assured. The study concluded with the following results:

- Level of democratic practices among Health Faculty from students’ perspective in Northern Border University was medium; the theme relating to management of classroom occupied the first rank, with a mean of (2.87) "medium level", followed by the theme relating to courses, with a mean of (2.34) "low level", whereas the theme relating to teaching methods took the third rank with a mean of (2,25) "low level".

- There are significant statistical differences at (a = 0.05) that are attributed to the gender variable at all themes of the study and in the total degree. The differences came for the benefit of the males.

- There are significant statistical differences at (a = 0.05) that are attributed to the faculty variable at all themes of the study and on the total degree. The difference came for the benefit of the faculty of applied medical sciences.

- There were no significant statistical differences at (a = 0.05) that are attributed to the grade variable at all themes and the total degree.

Arabic Abstract الملخص باللغة العربية

هدفت الدراسة إلى التعرف على مستوى الممارسات التعليمية الديمقراطية لدى أعضاء هيئة التدريس في الكليات الصحية بجامعة الحدود الشمالية من وجهة نظر طلبتهم، وكذلك الكشف عن فروق ذات دلالة إحصائية في مستوى الممارسات التعليمية الديمقراطية لدى أعضاء هيئة التدريس في الكليات الصحية بجامعة الحدود الشمالية من وجهة نظر طلبتهم باختلاف متغير الجنس، والكلية، والتقدير، واستخدمت الدراسة المنهج الوصفي التحليلي، حيث تم تطبيق استبانة تم التأكد من صدقها وثباتها على عينة بلغت (226) طالب وطالبة، وتوصلت الدراسة إلى النتائج التالية :

- إن الممارسات التعليمية الديمقراطية لدى أعضاء هيئة التدريس في الكليات الصحية بجامعة الحدود الشمالية من وجهة نظر طلبتهم جاءت بمستوى متوسط، حيث جاء المحور المتعلق بإدارة القاعة الدراسية بالمرتبة الأولى، وحصل على متوسط حسابي بلغ (2.87) وبمستوى متوسط، يليه المحور المتعلق بالمقرر الدراسي بمتوسط حسابي بلغ (2.34) وبمستوى منخفض، وجاء المحور المتعلق بطرق التدريس في المرتبة الثالثة بمتوسط حسابي بلغ (2.25) وبمستوى منخفض.

- وجود فروق ذات دلالة إحصائية (a= 0.05) تعزى لأثر متغير الجنس في جميع المحاور وفي الدرجة الكلية، وجاءت الفروق لصالح الذكور، وكذلك توجد فروق ذات دلالة إحصائية (a = 0.05) تعزى لأثر متغير الكلية في جميع المحاور وفي الدرجة الكلية، وجاءت الفروق لصالح كلية العلوم الطبية التطبيقية، وأيضاً لا توجد فروق ذات دلالة إحصائية عند مستوى الدلالة (a =0.05) تعزى لمتغير التقدير في جميع المحاور وفي الدرجة الكلية.
