J-ETD treats the individual article as an important unit of emerging knowledge, and publication of articles will not be delayed. Each article will be assigned a Creative Commons license to maximize distribution while making sure the article author receives credit in any future adaptation or use. In order to control publication expenses, there will not be a print edition of J-ETD. Authors retain copyright while granting J-ETD permission to publish and distribute their article.
J-ETD publishes articles as they become available for publication, following a thorough review, full or conditional acceptance, and copy correction process. Each publication year starting with 2021 will be considered a volume, with chronologic publishing of each article in the volume.
As a new academic-oriented journal, J-ETD is indexed in Google Scholar. NDLTD, the official sponsor of the journal, will use its website and social media presence, as well as its annual international symposium, to promote both the publication and article submission. We hope that other indexing sources consider inclusion of J-ETD.
