Abstract

This study aimed to identify the role of school activities in developing leadership skills among female students in cycle 2 public schools in the Emirate of Fujairah from the teachers and the social workers point of view.

The descriptive method of research was used to achieve the study's objectives. Analysis of previous studies and the theoretical literature relevant to the study was conducted. A questionnaire consisting of (34) items representing the role of school activities in developing students' leadership skills was constructed.

The questionnaire was divided into four categories. Firstly, the extent to which school activities develops student’s leadership skills. Secondly, the relationship between school activities and student learning behavior. Thirdly, the role of the activities supervisor as by teachers and social workers perceive. Lastly, an open-ended question about school activities that develop leadership skills.

The questionnaire was applied after making sure of its validity on a sample of 199 teachers and social workers from governmental schools in the Emirate of Fujairah. They were 183 teachers and 16 social workers and the rate was 57.3% of the Population. The Reliability of the questionnaire was 0.951 and the efficiency of the content was proved by seven judges from (university doctors).

The data was analyzed using the SPSS program (Statistical Package for the Social Sciences). Averages, standard deviations were used to answer the questions of the study and to identify the points of view of social workers and teachers.

The Study revealed that according to teachers and social workers' point of view School activities in female student's governmental cycle 2 in Fujairah as following:

1- There is a high tendency between Fujairah cycle two female students to participate in school activities.

2- Leadership skills are developed and acquired school activities to a high extent according to the opinion of the teachers and to a very high extent from the social workers' point of view.

3- School activities play an important role in acquiring various leadership skills especially cooperative skills, communication skills, public speaking, making new friends, self-expression, debate skills, taking responsibility, listening to others and the ability to deal with different people with different ways of thinking, etc.

4 -School activities contribute positively in the learning process. School activities are a source of learning and raise the level of motivation for learning. It also correlates positively with academic excellence and changes the students' behavior positively at a high degree according to the teacher’s point of view and at a very high degree according to the social workers point of view.

5 - The activity supervisors are performing their roles at very high degree from the teachers and social Workers' point of view.

هدفت هذه الدراسة التعرف على دورالأنشطة المدرسية في تنمية مهارات القيادة لدى الطالبات، في المدارس الحكومية الحلقة الثانية في إمارة الفجيرة من وجهة نظر المعلمات والاختصاصيات الاجتماعيات.

ولتحقيق أهداف الدراسة إعتمدت الدراسة المنهج الوصفي، حيث تم تحليل الدراسات السابقة والأدب النظري ذي العلاقة بموضوع الدراسة، وتم بناء استبانة مكونة من (34) بند تمثل دور الأنشطة المدرسية في تنمية مهارات القيادة لدى طالبات المدارس الحكومية الحلقة الثانية في إمارة الفجيرة من وجهة نظر المعلمات والاختصاصيات الاجتماعيات في أربعة محاور هي المحور ‏الأول: درجة تحقيق النشاط المدرسي لمهارات القيادة، المحور الثاني: علاقة النشاط بتعلم وسلوك الطالبة، والمحور الثالث: دور المشرفة على النشاط كما تراه المعلمات والاختصاصيات، والمحور الرابع: سؤال مفتوح حول الانشطة المدرسية التي تتحقق من خلالها مهارات القيادة وتم تطبيق الاستبانة بعد التأكد من صدقها وثباتها على عينة بلغت (199) معلمة واختصاصية من المدارس الحكومية في إمارة الفجيرة. (183) معلمة و(16) إختصاصية وتشكل العينة ما نسبته (57.3%) من مجتمع الدراسة. وبلغ معامل الثبات الكلي للإستبانة (0.951) واستخدم معامل صدق المحتوى عبر سبعة محكمين من أساتذة جامعة الامارات.تم استخدام الحزمة الإحصائية للعلوم الاجتماعية (ٍSPSS) لتحليل البيانات، وتم استخراج المتوسطات الحسابية، والانحرافات المعيارية للإجابة عن أسألة الدراسة. وقد أظهرت نتائج هذه الدراسة من وجهة نظر المعلمات والاختصاصيات أن واقع النشاط المدرسي بمدارس الطالبات الحكومية في إمارة الفجيرة الحلقة الثانية كالتالي:

1-هناك إقبال من قبل طالبات مدارس الفجيرة الحلقة الثانية على النشاط المدرسي بدرجة عالية.

2-درجة تحقق مهارات القيادة من خلال الأنشطة المدرسية عالية حسب وجهة نظر المعلمات، وعالية جداً حسب وجهة نظر الاختصاصيات الاجتماعيات.

3-النشاط المدرسي له دور في تحقيق مهارات القيادة متنوعة وخاصة مهارة التعاون مع فريق العمل ومهارة التواصل مع الآخرين ومهارة التحدث عي الملأ ومهارة تكوين صداقات جديده ومهارة التعبيرعن الذات ومهارة تطور لغة الحوار، ومهارة تحمل المسؤولية، ومهارة الاستماع إلى الآخرين، ومهارة التعامل مع أفراد مختلفين في طريقة التفكير وغيرها من المهارات.

4-النشاط المدرسي يسهم إيجاباً في عملية التعلم وهو مصدر من مصادر التعلم ويرفع مستوى دافعية التعلم و يرتبط ايجابياً مع التفوق الدراسي ويغير سلوكيات الطالبات إيجابياً بدرجة عالية حسب وجهة نظر المعلمات، وبدرجة عالية جداً حسب وجهة نظر الاختصاصيات.

5-المشرفة طلى النشاط تقوم بدورها بدرجة عالية جداً من وجهة نظر المعلمات والاختصاصيات الاجتماعيات.
