Abstract
This study seeks to investigate policies, measures and efforts on religious affairs governance in the UAE, through enacting laws and establishing local religious institutions by uncovering the necessity of the procedures that are in place, the goals of religious governance, how religious affairs are regulated, and the challenges that the government faces in the process. The main objective of this thesis is to provide one possible adoption model for religious regulation. Further, since there are few studies on the topic of religious governance in general, and in the UAE particularly, the researchers synthesized and integrated existing knowledge from diverse sources to provide a comprehensive overview of the topic and highlighted the patterns and trends.
Arabic Abstract
حوكمة الشؤون الدينية في دولة الإمارات العربية المتحدة
تسعى هذه الاطروحة إلى دراسة السياسات والتدابير والجهود المتعلقة بحوكمة الشؤون الدينية في دولة الإمارات العربية المتحدة، من خلال سن القوانين وإنشاء المؤسسات الدينية المحلية، وذلك من خلال التوضيح والكشف عن القوانين والمؤسسات التي تم إنشاؤها، دور المؤسسات في تيسير الخدمات والواجبات الدينية، ومدى ضرورة الإجراءات القائمة، والتحديات التي تواجهها الحكومة في هذه العملية. الهدف الرئيسي من هذه الأطروحة هو طرح نموذج واحد من الممكن تبنيه لحوكمة الشؤون الدينية. علاوة على ذلك، ونظرًا لوجود عدد قليل من الدراسات حول موضوع حوكمة الشؤون الدينية بشكل عام، وفي دولة الإمارات العربية المتحدة بشكل خاص، قام الباحثون في هذه الدراسة بتجميع المعلومات الموجودة من مصادر متنوعة ودمجها لتقديم لمحة عامة شاملة عن الموضوع وسلطوا الضوء على الأنماط والاتجاهات الملحوظة.
