Abstract

The study aims to explorer the effect of digital revolution on the urban spaces’ users. Where it seeks to answer an important question in an era in which technology has invaded all the components of the city. Where with this huge technological development, and enormous human influences of changing information and communication, enabled more than one activity to be done within a space, and push to call for changing the design of Urban Spaces standards. This research answers the question: Do the elements of the digital revolution influence the use of Urban space? And how? For the purpose of answering research questions analytical descriptive methodology was used, along with case study method, where a questionnaire was designed targeted (100) respondents from passers-by who represent the users of Urban Spaces in Prince Mohammed bin Abdul Aziz Street in Riyadh, KSA. The results were gathered and analyzed using statistical analysis software (SPSS). The research concluded to significant results that will help researchers and designers to understand that effect of using digital revulsion tools and integrating it within determinants of Urban Spaces in a form that can affect the functions of the space in a positive way and raise the efficiency of the use of that space
